For this two phase renovation, AHSa provided design and construction administration services for the relocation of the Siemens Zeego equipment from the existing imaging suite to a 1,000 SF Hybrid OR in the General Operating Room suite floor below. A unique element of the move was the use of the existing Stryker Columns and Booms with a Maquet table and the relocated Zeego. A Custom control panel was required on the Maquet table and the Stryker Columns were modified in the field to hold the control wires for the Zeego to the Maquet table to keep cables off the operating area. Modification to the Control Room and Equipment Room of the Hybrid OR was required. The second phase of the project included design for the installation of a new Siemens SOMATOM Force in the 850 SF room where the Siemens Zeego was removed. Existing shielding was evaluated and modified to contain the expanded field of gamma rays. Control Room was modified to accept new equipment which also included a new public rest room accessible from the adjacent corridor was designed and installed. The project team is currently evaluating the new master plan for the CT suite in the TRU department.
