AHSa designed a new, three-story assisted living wing to the existing 150,000 SF Tranquillity at Fredericktowne facility. The schematic design phase of this project included the assessment of the existing facilities and how to update the new and existing portions to have a similar aesthetic and modern palette while maintaining the traditional nuances of the facilities details. Assessment included ADA studies for new and existing room types as well as programming for all future spaces. Within the assisted living wing, the Memory Care Unit consists of a 20-30 Bed unit, single units with 2 to 3 double units, bathing facility in each “Family Unit,” one dining area, one “Social Space” and one nurse station. The three-story addition’s amenities include an outside courtyard for memory care residents.
