Ammon Heisler Sachs architects provided the design and construction administration for the renovation of an existing The Temple – A Paul Mitchell Partner School housed in a 100-year-old Masonic building in downtown Frederick, MD. The 15,000 SF beauty school features exposed brick walls, classrooms covered with original murals, and hand-blown fixtures from local artists. AHSa provided design for the interior by updating interiors to reflect new branding including new interior signage, the addition of a new sales office, refreshing paint, refinishing wood floors, and renovating the Shampoo area/Wash House, as well as adding new office furniture, a new reception area, and retail fixtures and furniture. On the mezzanine level, AHSa converted the large open space to private offices and a student break room, and added new fixtures, furniture, finishes and lighting. On the second floor, AHSa provided updates and expanded to the classroom areas which included expanding electrical service to meet the demands of growing student population, new paint, new lighting, new storage spaces, upgrades to HVAC system, new AV equipment, and new fixtures for classrooms.
