During construction of the new BC Connector at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) developed a plan to revitalize the dated observation Gallery through renovation and the addition of an upscale bar. AHSa was contracted to design and Sky Azure, the client wanted a space that was aviation inspired, yet would set itself apart from the more literal design approach to the exhibit that houses it. In response to the client’s request AHSa designed a modern environment and chose sleek, contemporary materials and design elements to incite a fresh take on the museum like experience.
