It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of John Ammon’s passing, founder of John A. Ammon + Associates, which eventually evolved into Ammon Heisler Sachs architects (AHSa). Up until the end of John’s life, he remained an integral part of our AHSa family. Our thoughts are with AHSa’s Principal, David Ammon, and his loved ones.

In 1991, John Ammon founded John A. Ammon + Associates. With hopes to retire on the horizon, his son David Ammon, Joe Heisler, and Hal Sachs bought the assets of John A. Ammon in 2007 to found Ammon Heisler Sachs architects (AHSa).

Even in retirement, John remained at the heart of our firm’s foundation and continued to be an irreplaceable member of the AHSa family. Year after year, he participated in our social events and frequently stopped by the office for an impromptu lunch.

John Ammon was a very special member of our community. He empowered everyone he worked with and advocated for each and every one of us to succeed in our careers. John created a supportive environment and founded a firm that functioned more like a family. For that, we are forever grateful.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without John Ammon. We are so thankful to have worked alongside him, and we will miss him dearly.
